📺 On this day in 2008, Barry George was found not guilty of the murder of BBC presenter Jill Dando after a retrial cast doubt on forensic evidence.
🎵 And back in 1999, Ronan Keating topped the UK charts with his first solo No. 1 single, When You Say Nothing At All.

Today’s Word of the Day is PETULANT describes someone who is childishly sulky, irritable, or bad-tempered, especially in a way that seems unreasonable or overly sensitive to minor annoyances. Showing sudden, impatient irritation, especially over something minor or trivial.
Tip: It’s often used to describe temporary behavior, not a permanent personality trait.
🔹 Examples in use:
"She gave a petulant sigh when her suggestion was ignored."
→ (She was sulky or annoyed over a small thing.)"The petulant child threw a tantrum when he wasn’t allowed a second dessert."
→ (The child acted unreasonably upset.)"He became petulant when the meeting didn’t go his way."
→ (He showed irritation and frustration in a childish way.)
