Richarlison's penalty secured Tottenham's 1-0 victory over AZ Alkmaar, maintaining their perfect start in the Europa League. In his first start of the season, Richarlison confidently converted the 53rd-minute penalty after a brief disagreement with captain James Maddison. Spurs struggled to break AZ’s defense in the first half, but improved after the break, with 17-year-old Mikey Moore impressing throughout. AZ threatened late on, but Fraser Forster made key saves, and the Dutch side were reduced to 10 men after David Moller Wolfe was sent off. Word of The Day

GARNISH

Today’s Word of the Day is GARNISH – means to decorate or embellish, especially in reference to food. It often refers to adding small, decorative items to a dish to enhance its appearance or flavour, such as herbs, fruit slices, or sauces.

How to use it:

• The chef garnished the plate with fresh parsley and a lemon wedge to add color and freshness.

• Before serving, she garnished the dessert with a drizzle of chocolate and a few raspberries.

• The cocktail was beautifully garnished with a twist of orange peel and a cherry on top.

It is typically used when talking about food presentation, where small additions make a dish visually appealing or add complementary flavours.
