Broxbourne Station Installs Hertfordshire’s First Bleed Control Kit

Yesterday, Broxbourne Station became the first in Hertfordshire to install a Bleed Control Kit in its defibrillator cabinet. Attended by the Mayor and Broxbourne MP, the event underscored the importance of this life-saving resource.

Led by Hearts for Herts, with support from Greater Anglia and HSBC UK, this kit is the first of nine planned across stations from Waltham Cross to Hertford East. The red cabinets aim to provide essential first-aid tools in emergencies, with hopes to expand installations across Hertfordshire.

Look for the RED sign at Broxbourne Station to locate a Bleed Kit in an emergency!

FOOTBALL

UEFA Europa League

Galatasaray 3 | 2 Tottenham Hotspurs

BBC Sport

Victor Osimhen’s double helped Galatasaray hand Tottenham their first Europa League defeat of the season in a challenging match in Istanbul. Spurs’ teenage forward Will Lankshear scored his first senior goal but was later sent off after receiving two yellow cards. Despite Tottenham’s efforts, including a goal by substitute Dominic Solanke, they struggled with defensive errors and poor attempts to play out from the back. Galatasaray dominated the game, with Yunus Akgun’s early volley setting the tone. Ange Postecoglou’s side remains in a qualifying position with nine points, though Galatasaray now leads the group.

UEFA Champions League

Inter Milan 1 | 0 Arsenal

Arsenal’s unbeaten Champions League run ended with a controversial 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan at the San Siro. Just before halftime, Inter was awarded a penalty after Mikel Merino was penalized for a handball, though he had little chance to avoid Mehdi Taremi’s flick. VAR upheld the decision, and Hakan Calhanoglu converted the spot-kick. Despite Arsenal's dominant second half, including a near miss by Gabriel and close efforts from Kai Havertz, Inter’s defense held firm. This loss marks Arsenal’s first in Europe this season, dropping them to 12th in the 36-team league.
