Google’s Data Centre Investment: Is River Lea at Risk?
When Google announced its $1bn investment in a new data centre in our very own Hertfordshire earlier this year, it was a moment of celebration. A global tech giant choosing Broxbourne felt like a significant win, bringing high-quality jobs and a boost to our local economy. As Google stated, the facility would power crucial services like Search, Maps, and YouTube while creating engineering jobs, right on our doorstep.
